Well it's been a few days now since I got back home from the Bulgarian Euro Tour event and I've not really stopped. Travelling back Monday was a bit of a washout but Tuesday was nice to be able to spend some time at home just chilling out and I celebrated with a Domino's pizza. Naughty but nice!
The last few years have been a big turning point for me in my career where I've learnt a few things about myself and how to get the best out of my game so it's been straight back on the practise table for me since getting home, preparing for what is a very busy and important time for us as snooker players.
It was a great thrill to win in Bulgaria as it's somewhere I've spent a lot of time and have many friends. Maybe eight years ago I went over to play a small exhibition in a club in Sofia. The club was packed out and the interest in snooker there through Eurosport was clear for all to see. Over the years this has grown and grown into what we see now...a well attended and supported event from both players and spectators alike. I certainly do not think that the success of snooker in Bulgaria is because of me but it's nice to say that I was a part of it and there from the start. So to win on Sunday and play some good stuff was extremely satisfying and I'm looking forward to going back next year.
Tomorrow (Friday) I'm off to Hong Kong playing in the General Cup. It's a great trip to a great city and I loved it last year so I'm really looking forward to it. Then I'm off to Dubai for a few days in the sun and also I'll be practising at their academy in preparation for the International Open in Chengdu the following week. I love collecting these airmiles! Soon I'll have enough for my own A380 double decker…haha!
I'm sure my trip over the next few weeks will have some good stories for me to share and I'll take some good pics to share on here and my Twitter page too. So keep following and supporting, I really do appreciate it.
All the best
