SHAUN Murphy recorded his third title triumph of 2014 when he took the Victoria Bulgarian Open crown tonight.
Shaun capped a superb tournament with a largely dominant display in beating Martin Gould 4-2 in the final.
The Manchester-based star found himself 1-2 down but responded in fine fashion, making breaks of 89, 99 and 63 to roar back and become the champion.
Shaun had 23 runs of 50 or more over the tournament, including three tons.
He enjoyed some high-profile successes along the way, including a last-32 triumph over Stephen Maguire, 4-2.
Murphy demolished Jimmy White 4-0 in the last 16 before ousting world champion Mark Selby 4-2 in the next round.
There was another comfortable win in the semi-finals , 4-0 against Michael White before Shaun completed the job by overcoming Gould.
Shaun said: "I've been coming here for many years and have lots of friends in Sofia. It's a great tournament to win and I will definitely be back next year. I want to thank all the crowd - their support has been fantastic."
Murphy has also landed the Gdynia Open and World Open titles in a very fruitful 2014.
